Welcome!

It is a true joy to welcome you to my Substack site.
As you may not yet know me (well), allow me to briefly introduce myself.

I was born (1966) and raised in The Netherlands in a business family. I studied to be a jeweler and goldsmith, and changed professions shortly after graduating. I worked for many years as a secretary, till in 2005 it was time for a big leap of faith.

After having sold my house, I followed up on the inner call to quit my job. It was time to embrace that a so-called normal life didn’t suit me. I surrendered to the flow and started traveling. In the course of five years I have set foot on all seven known continents.

In 2010 I founded a travel agency and settled in Mali, West Africa. I steered the company through the many crises the country and region faced over the years. When life as we knew it, came to a standstill in March 2020, I jumped of joy and grabbed the chance to once again change my life.

Much of the past couple of years was spent in Egypt. Sekhmet called me, and took me on a whirlwind journey, inviting me to open up to new experiences and to new levels of my being.

Now time has come to share with a broader audience. Here you can expect musings about my life and my love for different cultures and their cuisines, stories about my hiking and travel adventures, about my time in Mali and Egypt, and channeled messages.

Many of the musings will be free for everyone to access.
Honoring the time and energy I dedicate to it, my writings and channeled messages will be available through paid subscriptions only. Besides stories published in my books, there will be lots of new content. So, if you happen to have read my books - thank you! - most of the content published on this site will be new to you too.
